We have three wireless routers in the house but we are not using them to the full advantage. The first one is called "Tyler Durden", the second "Life Is Too Important To Be Taken" and the third one is a Fon-hotspot. The ideal would be that we use one or two of these routers to share internet, and since the Fon-router has a great antenna attached to it, this one would be perfect to share our internet with at least 50 households. There is however one big problem with this router.

DRMs are falling! Soon it will be possible to broadcast music online without being an evil motherfucker. Let's open a store! Who's with me?

Yep, 14 hours. And 17 minutes. It's not even a record for hitch-hiking between Amsterdam and Hamburg. One time it took me 24 hours, of which I only slept 8h, so the total of active hitch-hiking would be around 16 hours.

That's an average speed of 33 km/h.

The past few days, we've been discussing stereotypes, cultures, and subcultures, racism and prejudism... This is one of those random things I found browsing someone's facebook wall (pirate language: "plank"). I think it potentially proves and disproves a lot of prejudices about Americans.

You know those sundays...

When the night before you were partying until the nightclub's janitor asked you to leave so that he could sweep the dance-floor. When everything outside is closed and you know it, and it's so warm inside. When people wake up late and slowly, one arm sticking out of the cover to catch a laptop. When the rhythm of time in zula is marked by random pointless conversation spaced out by long silences, during which you'd hear the jiggling music of fingers running on keyboards and left-clicks, occasionally right.

That was one of those.

Might be a nice toy for geeks but is definitely not user friendly. Be nice with the dummies please;)

Opportunities are everywhere, but especially in the Netherlands when it comes down to funding. It would be good to make an overview of funding bodies and opportunities that are related to projects with values we tend to adhere to (such as free software).
