Italy

Need your support, or we are going to close.

Since 2009, in Casale Monferrato, north west of Italy, 35.000 inhabitants, exist a very active place where hospitality is shared. It started from an idea of some local nomads and since 3 years, hosted almost 300 between volunteers and travellers.

Is a colurfoul apartment at first floor in a multicultual street in the city center.
Everyone know the place, and neighbours bring us food and share stories and time with us. Our doors and windows are always open.
We always focused about this: share, understand and respect each person diversity.

Lightfoot - Casale Monferrato, Piedmonte, Italia

Where is Casale Monferrato, you may ask? http://serydarth.wordpress.com

Lightfoot StampLightfoot Stamp Well, it's in the beautiful north of Italy, but it doesn't really matter. There are a lot of travelers there, volunteers coming and going, so I spent the time to make a box, added some brief guidelines, left a few letters in it, and there it is. Another Lightfoot box in operation.

You can too!

"Once upon a time: a woman with children..." Meeting Davide some years ago

This can be considered how Davide's post titled "If you were a woman with child..." could have gone. I love to think that my story and Davide's one are linked, that an alternative conclusion made by path crossing and time shifting, is possible.

Today, I remembered my first contact with hitchhiking.
I was only 7 and my sister 1. My mother decided to took us to the amusement park in Rome (only 50 km from my hometown). She thought we needed distractions: back at that time my parents were in the processes of separation, so I think she wanted to spend some time with us.
