Ponderings

Yesterday was the first day this year that it has been warm enough for me to bare foot again. Spring is here! Summer is on its way and everything is bursting with a new lease of life.

What i have learned in my law degree so far:

The deeper i go down the rabbit hole the more complicated i realise the system of tunnels is. One wrong turn and we seem to hit a dead end and are forced to go back on ourselves. We are walking a tight-rope, forces pulling from everyside as we try not to go too far one way and fall off. Everything is subjective, there is no right answer, no one knows anymore about morality than anyone else, we are all just making it up as we go along. But this doesn't make it have any less value or meaning, by trying to make everything conform to an abstract concept of "truth" or "justice" without realising these are not set principles which are capable of being known, we lose some of the marvel we should have at how we have managed so well for so long with such limited understanding! There are systems in place which operate on a set of principles which we just accept and only a few question and which control so much. Control here is not necessarily mean in a negative sense, we need to conrol our social environment even if only at the level of agreeing upon anarchy. The more i learn the more i am inspired by the potential we have, within the system of tunnels and without.

I start a month long hitch-hike to Morocco on the 29th and am hoping to save enough time on the return journey to stop off in Hamsterjam and come see the casaites and the beloved kitten (glad to see she is still running the show)! I hope that there will be some friendly faces (miss you Robino!) and some new ones too!

Love and hugs and lashings of good energy to all xx

oh, to hear that Alison is

oh, to hear that Alison is barefoot again made the feeling of spring in me complete. :)
greetings from the green room!
guess what, i'm taking Birgit to hitchhike with me from Köln to Budapest in June, you can imagine how excited she is :)

yesterday i remembered when we walked through a park to get to that cartoon-shop, and you were very excited about the idea of everyone and everything being connected and one, as you had just finished reading the Peaceful Warrior.

ha, that sounds like a good

ha, that sounds like a good thing to learn. I remember my first academic year(s); they are most important to get into the 'acadamic mindset' and get a good base of understanding and framing problems and solutions.

For me, doing politics (among other things), the most important and useful framework of thought became the problem of unequal power-distribution & the solution of dissolving power (over). Once I got that my understanding (and grates) skyrocketed.

Happy to read about your coming trip, and I really hope i will be here once you get here :)
