We can get 5000 euro for a project if it wins the contest "For the World of Tomorrow". All we have to do is submit an idea and to have people voting for it. Ideas that can be forwarded here are any idea that helps bringing about a more sustainable world.
The ideas so far include a movie-project, C02-reduction ideas, and so on. None of these ideas is really groundbreaking though and so I think we have a fairly good chance of winning some cash here for one of the projects we are working on - or maybe even several if we submit more than one (there are three prices). I am not sure though which project, would it be urban-farming, or trashwiki, or something else? Deadline is end of this month.
The idea of urban farming is simple. We will set up a DIY (Do It yourself) guide in Dutch for how to turn your garden into a little farm (open source). And secondly, set up a network of urban farmers who go and create a garden-farm for a fixed amount, and a monthly fee for maintenance if the people don't want to maintain it by themselves. To submit the idea, we could also just submit the idea for the DIY-guide.
Another question, would this project be best fitted in trashwiki alternatives section or in the section of Free Social Solutions in sharewiki?
