turkey net ban

Dear Casa People,

Turkey is getting weirder and weirder everyday. Living in here is like being in a scientific experiment to test how far you can go by benumbing the public with irrational decisions undercover of protecting the public.

After 22nd of August we won't be able to browse the websites those government tells we can't. Big Brother knows better what is good and what is bad for us. What a shame.

Anonymous Declaration of Freedom

Anonymous calls out "for the first in a series of global protests in defense of WikiLeaks and freedom of expression" on Saturday.

"We believe that freedom of speech is non-negotiable, that the quality of an idea matters more than its authorship, and in the radical notion that information should be free." http://www.whyweprotest.net

Thought the video is a nice uplifting one. There is even some free hugs in it :-)

The bloodclots will get you in the end,

Dear all,
This is a question and a problem I've had for some time now, that I've shared with quite a few of you but have never really received an answer, or that which I've been looking for.

I need to be self reliant in terms of money. For a while, I lived from kindness and occasional jobs here and there, but this reliance on others became exhausting and the power of it (waiting for another to give) becomes something that eats away at the spirit.

Post Scarcity Foundation - well first a blog

About three weeks ago I couldn't sleep well and I had this idea. It's time to set up a foundation to get us beyond scarcity. Naturally I started that wiki page on Sharewiki.

"Post scarcity or post-scarcity describes a hypothetical form of economy or society, often explored in science fiction, in which things such as goods, services and information are free, or practically free.” [Wikipedia].

A participed documentary on riding bikes around the world : For thousand miles"

I have found this amazing production blog about a documentary on long bike journeys.

I suggest you to explore their website: http://projectpedal.com/
You will find a very good guide about how to make a documentary and great video materials.

Inspiring.

One of the best quotes: "Because in the end it has almost nothing to do with the bike and everything to do with setting out to accomplish something that is intimidating, that is unknown to you, something you know you have a good chance of failing at but doing it anyways and slowly but surely proving yourself wrong."

orange crayon of liberty

The culprit behind my liberty is an orange crayon.
I will never forget changing that last shitty diaper and seeing those orange flakes of brightness amidst liquid brown.
Are those carrots?
Damn.
It was the crayon he had had for breakfast that morning.
"Petra, um [...]"
Then, I proceeded to tell her that while I was playing a card game with the other children, Thys had apparently been walking around eating a crayon.

"Well, where is it?!" she demanded. "WE HAVE TO KNOW HOW MUCH HE ATE!"
"I... don't know. The box says 'non-toxic'."
