memcache for sustainable web serving?

MySQL was just down again. I've checked the slow query logs and it's casa casa casa.

Now, my friend Marcus is finishing a new video for the Gathering and this server shouldn't go down after release so I hope memcache will make the casa site a bit more sustainable ;)

I also disabled the recent changes module - it was also appearing in the logs a couple of times and I don't think it's that necessary.

drupalwiki.net

Just started ''another'' wiki, [http://drupalwiki.net/en/Main_Page Drupalwiki]. I often find myself wading through tons of pages to find an answer to a Drupal question, and when I found it I don't know where I should record the info or how I can even update the thing. MediaWiki is still vastly superior to Drupal when it comes to wikis - especially when open for anonymous editing.

Drupal Conference in Koln - Jan 17th and 18th

What are you doing on January 17th and 18th? Hopefully you'll be coming to DrupalCamp Cologne and hanging out with Drupallers from all over the world! This is the first ever Drupal-specific camp or conference that Germany has ever seen, so it will be quite an event. read more: http://acquia.com/blog/drupalcamp-coming-germany

Questions how the site works

Just found out how to make sure you decide when the page breaks and you will see "read more". It goes automatically now, and sometimes this happens at spots after sentences when you don't want it, but you can simply manage this yourself, by typing < !--break--> (without the space between "<" and "!") where you want to 'break' the page into two (one section for front-page and the other for after 'read more') Easy :D
