Giveaways

Yesterday I left my boots in the Casa, realizing I'm no longer going to use them enough to justify carrying them around (anyone who is size 41 and interested in non-leather, water resistant hiking boots is welcomed to grab them, I can provide description or photo to make it easier to find. Else I might claim them some day in the far future).
It got me thinking about the free shop / giveaways / stuff left behind at the casa.

Every time that I'm there we end up cleaning lots of stuff, throwing things away, not always knowing what is stored, what is abandoned, without people who might be interested in the item actually being aware of its existence.

I was thinking about making this whole thing more organized, so everyone can benefit more from it.
It can start from something like a list on a piece of paper or notebook. Whoever leaves something for people to take can list it down and whoever takes something can cross it out.
Later it can even be an integral part of the website instead of a list, including pictures, details and stuff like that

Any thoughts about it?
Does something like this exist without me knowing?
Is it technically possible for us to turn it into a part of the website (eventually)?

Giveaways

what a astonishing idea. I imagine about it and shocked if it existed at a more global scale. Doing it at Casa sounds adequate.
Good website with wonderful post.

Possessions and nomadic living

Yes, we do not need to fear logistics as a cousin of rules. Application of logistics means more potential for benefit.

With this case in mind, I think there is a terrible scarcity of space. I do not think it is fair to use Casa as a storage place for a large amount of possessions in expense of valuable space for creating. Isn't this counter to nomadic living anyway? For example, the space where an old monitor sits, could sit a sewing machine which can alter clothes. It sounds like space for producing is a priority in the Berlin house, and I admire this idea. So, perhaps people that are storing LARGE amounts of things can come reclaim their things in the near future or give permission to give away.

I agree but keep my box!!!

I totally agree with this. Too much stuff everywhere means less space for people/creative tools.

However, keep my box! I hope that Robin will be able to send it to Italy once back at Casa, so it won't stay there for long :)

Lots of love, and call me when you want!

Adan, why are you looking for size 39 women shoes?

I know there are some freecycle websites in many places, never got too much into it to be honest.
I wonder if it's technically possible for the casa. Where are all the computer people?

The wish list is actually a good idea. It might be a bit hard to pair shoes though.

BTW, I have just realized that I had quite a few question in my original post,
but I didn't break my 3 per day limit.

There can even be a wishlist. So if someone needs a left running shoe, size 39 woman narrow, they can write it down, and then maybe santa will bring it at some point.
