There is no way of living a false life correctly

Ladies and gentlemen,
welcome to my first post on casarobino.org! (anyone noticed I'm not used to blagging?)
When I left the casa in march, Robino invited me to post something, "people love to hear from you".
Now it took me so long that Robino even quit his new dayjob again in the meantime :)

Speaking of dayjobs, one reason for my late posting is that I'm doing a degree while working 20h per week which brings us back to the title.
Well, actually I think that there is no true life at all. Take that, Adorno!
My time at the casa and the necessity to deal with civil life in fast forward right after my journey made me think about independence and effectiveness. Walden by Henry David Thoreau gave me some more input as well (I just started reading it recently though).
I think independence is a lot about "what we don't do" and we're making good progress is that area (especially Robin :]). It is now possible to take quite a lot of our business back from the CorpGov institutions. There's still much dependence on "the system" but also many new ways so we're not condemned to hermitage or a purely nomad life. I case you wonder how independence and my current life fit together: I decided to finish my degree so I'm hopefully still not forced to accept shitty J-O-Bs with 30 and to use my time to read, learn, follow my non-nomad interests, complete my equipment and enjoy Berlin.
Anyway, I found I often go too much after good karma. Fair trade coffee is not going to save the world. I sometimes feel we are so busy with reducing the effect of Them on us that we forget having an effect on Them. Empowering our social environment gets us nowhere if noone actually uses the power. There have been the G20 protests lately and there will be tons of demonstrations in Berlin on May 1st while I'm enjoying a small anarchist meeting in the middle of nowhere (in Saxony :) but I think it's important to keep effectiveness in mind while we're enjoying the trip.
