memcache for sustainable web serving?

MySQL was just down again. I've checked the slow query logs and it's casa casa casa.

Now, my friend Marcus is finishing a new video for the Gathering and this server shouldn't go down after release so I hope memcache will make the casa site a bit more sustainable ;)

I also disabled the recent changes module - it was also appearing in the logs a couple of times and I don't think it's that necessary.

Hope this helps... Let me know if you have any other ideas or if the site is down again (well you wouldn't be reading this in that case ;)

cool - I just replaced the recent_changes module with a view, so we can have a nice overview again. The only issue I face is how to integrate comments in it. Before it was nicel showing an "updated" sign when a node received a comment. No clue yet how to integrate that.

Great that the server seems more stable again!
