Europe/Amsterdam
Where aren't you from?:
Hmmmm well I'm not from Mars, although some would say I am! An Aussie gal from Sydney, coming to the end of a 12 month stint travelling across 3 continents and through over 20 countries. I’ve just made a last-minute decision to change my flight and break up my 24hr journey home to have a stopover in SE Asia for a good dose of vitamin B before heading home to the winter. So I’m now flying out of Amsterdam on Sunday evening 5th June (instead of original date of 18th June) and am planning a few days stay in Am*dam from 1st June, to wrap up the final leg of my epic world tour. (Yes, that’s this coming week, I know! Apologies for the short notice, but I‘m a bit spontaneous like that! I'm sure you'd agree that it‘s a much more exciting way to travel, only planning a few days ahead, rather than being locked into a strict itinerary!) I’ve been to Amsterdam a few times before and have done most of the touristy stuff, so on this visit I’m just seeking good local company and some laughs before I depart Europe “until next time”… (Which will hopefully be next summer, hitch-hiking from Finland to Turkey!). I’m interested in exploring some of the ideas suggested on the CS Zone Am*dam page too. I’m happy to cook and/or share meals and household duties - I certainly don’t intend to treat the place like a hotel! So, just to clarify, my requested dates are Weds 1st to Sat 4th June (flying out Sunday) for one person - female, 33yrs old, slightly nutty but in a fun & harmless way… ;-) See my CS profile for more info… Look forward to hearing from you! Dank je wel, Meg (aka Nutmeg, MeegoAreego, Megawati, Megatron, etc etc…)
Will you bring dead animals into the house?:

How did you find out about the Casa?:
CS Zone Am*dam
Why do you want to stay in the Casa?:
To meet more fabulous, interesting people. Couch-surfing is great, but this takes it one step further... The most memorable & rewarding experiences on my travels to date have been hitch-hiker gatherings & the like... Being silly & childish, playing games & generally rediscovering my inner child... See http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_214808518538690&ap=1 for a great example of the kind of mischief I like to get up to (especially scaring joggers with ukelele & kazoo!). I love the concept of the Casa & hope I can participate!
What would be your favourite activity in casa?:
I'm fascinated by the inside of vacuums
Replacing cat pee with vinegar increases my zen awareness
Do you use Windows, Mac OS or you like freedom?:
I don't hate freedom
What is your favourite question in life?:
Where am I? Who am I? How did I come to be here? What is this thing called the world? How did I come into the world? Why was I not consulted? And If I am compelled to take part in it, Where is the director? I want to see him. - Soren Kierkegaard
Are you a bike-breaker or bike-fixer?:
Yes
Anything else?:
Look forward to meeting some fun & groovy people!
