Where aren't you from?:
Until I turned 17, I never left Canada. The world took hold of me by storm shortly after, and I haven't left it since.
Until 2008 I never tasted saltwater. It was a funny surprise for me, the taste of the Mediterranean.
I'm not from the oceanside, or the mountaintop. I'm an urban girl, with the cowboy boots to prove it ;)
I'm also not from Amsterdam so I'd love to come for a visit :)

How did you find out about the Casa?:
A poster on couchsurfing.org commented that it was a cool alternative resting place for the weary (yet adventurous) traveller.
Why do you want to stay in the Casa?:
I'm drawn by the notion of shared space and shared community! I've always lived in collective homes - co-ops, communities of choice - since I moved out on my own at age 17. I think there's a lovely special spark that comes together when a bunch of unrelated people sit around the dinner table. I also hope for spontaneous guitar sessions, and spontaneous tips to make my Amsterdam visit memorable. I'm hoping you'll allow my friend and I to visit.
Also, I should mention that since I'm ideologically committed to your awesome project, I'm happy to volunteer by contributing to help with chores, or even bringing a material contribution - a small donation, food, whatever.

Thanks for setting up this house! Even if you're too busy to let me stay (though I'll be sad), I'm heartened by the existence of the Casa. Ideally, we'd love to stay June 3rd/4th in the evenings, but our time is flexible! Staying for just one night is OK if you are really busy during that time!

I totally understand the reasons why, and apologize if it came off as disrespectful that it's taken awhile. I've found the site a bit tricky to navigate and when I sent it to him, he found it a bit confusing too. I think we need to sit down together tonight or tomorrow and go through it!!
