jeez, sorry, I guess I kind of forgot that it's Amsterdam I'm going to, I guess that when people come there and say they want to have fun they just think of partying hard :)
actually, going to Amsterdam and just partying hard is exactly the kind of scenario I'm trying to avoid. I'm coming with some friends (they're staying in a hotel), and their idea of this trip is all about parties and maybe some shopping and that's it.
now don't get me wrong, I'm not against all that, but I simply like to make more than that of my trips. I know that I'm staying only for seven days or so, but I'd like to try as much as possible not being a tourist but really living there...
by 'fun' I meant... well all kinds of stuff, for example I consider cooking really fun. actually I consider most of the stuff really fun. :)
expectations... I don't know, meeting some new people and sharing some happy moments, if I got the whole idea of exchanging hospitality right (and I think I did) I really like it :))
I've done some similar stuff, like staying with friends of friends, or letting people I barely know or don't know at all stay at my place, and those were the most amazing experiences I've had...
so that's it :)
I would like to say yes at the moment but I can't. We have to see towards the time you're coming if we have some free space for you. Stay in touch for that, but as you can see: we cannot guarantee a spot at the moment...
In any case, it would be nice to meet up :) e-mail any of us (use the contact button on our profiles) for directions.

uhm. we are not so much into making fun so I am not sure how we will fit if you would live with us for a while.
or maybe we get you wrong? apart from having fun what would your other expectations be if you'd stay here?
