SNOW! , green lighthouse warmth, thursday night dinner

First - as usual - thursday night casa dinner..we're not really sure if it's dying, but even if so, it would be good good good to see you all..

Last night was the before-everyone-leaves-let's-get-together party at the green lighthouse. We brought tarte-aux-sucre (that had became scrambled in delivery but so so so good!) and chocolate mint cookies. Because we hadn't had enough sugar that day with a chocolate courgette cake, jams, and gallons of chai..uhhhh
By the time we arrived, I was on a ridiculous sugar loop, the highest point, combined with a nourishing sense of fulfilment with the passing of the days, excited to see so many familiar people and interesting strangers..
So - wine, beer, guacamole, fantastic skip dived bread from the local turkish bakery, vegetable stew, cheese fondue, an amazing amazing chocolate roll made by Martina..and Heather and I's creations from earlier..yeeee!

Of note - I don't believe in bread control..a man at this party did and began to shout..called us antiglobalists...one must be very passionate about both bread and authority to throw forks on the floor when confronted about this idea..whaaa!

At four am, we returned, and it was snowing, snowing, snowing! Thick falling snow! We couldn't stop singing all the way back. We also found sugar balls (Oliebollen) and now have a mountain of them on the kitchen floor..maybe they can be eaten tonight? There are various kinds..banana, chocolate, raison..all good to make the stomach explode, if you like this..

Voila. We're beginning our pancake and tea day/evening on sunday..a trial run..more news on that to follow..we hope to raise a little bit of money for the casa every week from it..
Yeeep!
