If two weeks ago anyone would have told me I would be in Berlin at this very moment, I would say: no fucking way. But I am here: enjoying it, cooking, making bread, talking, playing, hacking, writing, taking photos, provoking, hugging, annoying, cleaning, dumpster diving and sleeping with 12 people in the same room. It is all yet another great learning experience.
Arriving here was especially great. Bobby was the first person who saw me in the house, while I was exploring the writings in the corridor here. It was a long time ago I saw someone being so amazed. His eyes were superbig. He didn't know what to make of it. Equally though I didn't know what to make of it when Jasmin spoke to me about her stay in the Casa a week ago, telling me the latest gossips and how much she loved being with you all.
I intend to write more about the project here, and share my thoughts with everyone on what is working here so well, and what is working less. Equally, there is also some good lessons that I learned from coming in a house like the casa, without ever having been there in real life. Would love to share those observations with the people in the Casa in a later stage.
The biggest surprise being here for me though is the amount of people that I have met on my trip and in Berlin who have been living in similar houses in different places, or who have their attention focused on setting up similar things. Nomadbases are really here to come, I have no doubt and I think we should have an 'ABC' and SHE around this soon (towards the end of the year?)
Anyway, a lot of stuff I wrote down just to inform you that we will have an open session in the project volunteering house on Thursday evening to talk about the Casa and how we do it, and where we would like to go in the future.
