I heard many people are already in Lisbon, while others are still on the road. But I have been hitching the whole day.
I started before sunrise, with the thumb and sometimes a sign. No petrol station were taken. It was wonderful. The first tumbs up in the morning was a direct hit. Another two times I had to wait an hour or more. But who cares when you have time, and you get your photo taken by a police-officer?
And then somehow I ended having a picknick in a paradise in Galicia, as beautiful as you can imagine. Thanks to a wonderful family, and the best hitching spot I have seen so far in Spain. Now I will - fingers crossed - be on to my spot where I hope to start tomorrow, all the way down from Coruña to Sines, on the final day.

Waking up with rain and meet 3 grafiti kits from gijon. They give me a poro. Good times in a city where a license aint needed for unorganised events. Thumbs up!

On my way to galicia already! First car i saw gave me a ride 30k outside of the city. A man who had just brought his son to work. Thumbs are up in the dark :)

I love the north. just had a policekid taking a photo of me. Por fin sun. I sit verycomfortable with a sign in front, sea&hills on either side. This is autostop

The first great spot! Highway turns oneway & a huge space to stop & pick me up. 20 km more to be in galicia!

Yes, yes, yes! It works every time again. Wht an amazing ride and pickup. Too bad im so tired, but we go slow and the road is still long (and we have time).
