Amnesty in Gaza

While i complete my law degree which will really enable me to start kicking some ass, i joined (amongst others) the Amnesty society at uni to try to help out in any way i can.

Over Christmas people in the Amnesy soc from my uni, along with hundreds of others, are driving 350 ambulences filled with medical supplies, and eduational supplies over Europe to Gaza to end the blockade which has caused so much suffering to so many for over 18months. I volunteered to be a part of that voyage but unfortunately due to a massive workload and family comitments i had to withdraw my application. However i still want to help, which is where you come in. For this mission to succeed we need as much media attention as possible. Without the world watching at best they will make it as far as Egypt and be refused entrance and turned away. At worst they will be fired upon and the supplies stolen. This has happened before and without the eyes of the world watching it may happen again. The people that are doing this are just normal students, some of them my friends.

The convoy will arrive at the boarder on the 27th of December, the aniversary of the first attacks and will hope to cross the boarder in a march on the the 31st. Al jazeera will be covering the story and filming the convoy throughout their journey. What i need from all of you who read this is to tell just one other person about what we are doing, raise awareness, watch the reports and if you have any other ideas on how to get this issue into the media then please let me know. I have volunteered to help with publicity over Christmas as i can't be on the actual convoy so i thought this was good a place as any to start.

If anyone has any ideas on how to help, let me know! I need all the help i can get :) for more info check ou the links, please take a moment to read the info on them! The first two are about the convoy, the second two are about the conflict.
