The caste system divided Aryan society into four castes: the Brahmins who were the priests and scholars, the Kshatriya who were the warriors and rulers, the Vaishya who are the traders and merchants and the Shudra, the servants and workers. Anyone outside this system became a Dalit, an untouchable. // Hinduism is a collection of religious and cultural traditions. Today the main religious groups are Arya, Vaishnavites, Shaivites, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, Tantrikas and Shaktas, in no particular order.// There is a distinct split between the original Dravidian religions, which reject the Aryan system, and the Aryans, who to this day, continue to seek to dominate India.
