Today was Brian's birthday so we made yummi food, everyone dressed in something yellow and choose a silly hat. And we became oldschool. I guess the beginning fame of our crew is a good opportunity to present the guys around here:
Brian and Emerson are Hipopeye. Brian wore a Popeye basecap and is Gabrielles boyfriend. He's from Alberta originally and builds guitars. Emerson is a couchsurfer that eventually couldn't stay at La Pologne (because I occupy The Hut, ha! :) but he came over anyway. He's from Nevada, did an undergrad in math, worked designing gambling machines, quit his job and is now on a roadtrip until he sells his car and goes to Asia.
Gabrielle is MC Victim. Despite getting robbed in San Francisco, she's a cheerful girl. She works for an architecture magazine right now but she's actually a cook and will hit the road in a few weeks.
Not so much in the Crew were Seb and Laurent, who are Gabrielles roomies. Seb had studied and tought French in Germany for a while and got involved in the left scene during his stay. He even had encounters with the Antideutschen movement and might write his thesis about them. I haven't really talked to Laurent that much. He's surely a bike expert and seems like a nice guy :)
