Toomas Hendrik Ilves Estonia's currency is tied at a fixed rate to the Euro anyway, so right now we are tethered but receive none of the benefits. As for harmonisation and standardisation, how else could an internal market work? And for a small exporting nation, standardisation is a small inconvenience compared to the benefits of market access to all of Europe.
