Berlusconi’s government passed rules on Dec. 17 that will become law on Jan. 27, unless opposition parties succeed in blocking the measures in an administrative court. They would give Italy’s communications regulator oversight of Web sites that stream videos on a daily basis, including Internet Protocol Television and Mobile TV.
