LeakSafe will solve this problem in two ways: it securely hides media on the device until it can be uploaded, which will protect individuals against physical threats, and it shelters citizens from legal threats as the local news outlets will be responsible for publication. The goal of LeakSafe is to make news more participatory by lowering the barriers which hold back citizen journalists.
