Casa Robino

I've just realised that it has been a dangerously long time since i wrote anything on here so i thought i would just write a quick note to express my general feelings of joy at life :D

For four years she traveled before she got here, and when she arrived, we kept her! But now time to move further has come and Heather will be missed. To celebrate her presence and everything that she has given us (a new wall, a new floor, 6-8-10 artwork, humour and sarcasm) we will have a dinner this Monday in the Casa. Come if you want to celebrate with us and don't be late or you will miss the speeches and most importantly, wonderful food and cake!

Public spaces are emerging where people congregate to share ideas, make cool projects, teach, and brainstorm with collaborators on everything from coding to cooking. With no leaders, they have one rule: "Be excellent to each other." Take a tour of the hackerspace Noisebridge, in San Francisco.

Late afternoon, Friday and the doorbel rings. It is the mailman, "Hi, is this Casa Robino, I have a package for you". I feel surprised and wonder what it would be as I walk down to the front-door. The amazement grows tremendously as soon as I open the door and see the mailman with a GIANT package in his arms.

While walking back up, my excitement increases too. What could it be? What would be in it? While I slowly walk the stairs I check the box but there is nothing really on the square thing that reveals its contents; I can hardly wait to know and the curiosity grows even more.

Hey there!

I've been to casa in October 2009 (gosh, is it already that long ago?). I was on a cycling trip through the Netherlands.

Soon I will be free of uni again and instead of cycling I want to go Spain and learn Spanish, to have another key (=language) to the world, the people, the cultures .....

My question is, is there a casa project in Spain? I place where I seek acommadation, volunteer, meet people and live with them, speak Spanish, discuss, ...

I am happy for any help!

Hi all, to find a better balance I decided that I need some more solitude, which means that the casa will have a winter-sleep. I am closing down the host-requests until at least the 21st of March (beginning of spring), and will only open the house for people with whom I made or will make personal agreements (which will be limited).

Anybody interested in swapping apartments/'place to crash for 2' between x-mas and new year? I can offer a very nice apartment in the centre of Amsterdam, bikes and a cat.
