lightfoot

lightfoot all the way to KANSAS CITY!

i went with my dear friend to the post office this afternoon. above his p.o. box was taped, the love letter i wrote to him back in june . written on it-- "hand delivered by jeff and libby from new orleans, traveled through amsterdam in october" i couldn't believe my letter had been hand delivered all the way from amsterdam to little ole kansas city. it was a magical moment, and instantly brought back all the lovely memories i have from my adventure in amsterdam and the feelings i had while staying at the casa.

lightning strikes the postman

What about a map with post boxes on city level (like on hitchwiki... :) and some more structured information?
I have no time for that in the foreseeable future.. :/ Anyone else?

Lightfoot - Casale Monferrato, Piedmonte, Italia

Where is Casale Monferrato, you may ask? http://serydarth.wordpress.com

Lightfoot StampLightfoot Stamp Well, it's in the beautiful north of Italy, but it doesn't really matter. There are a lot of travelers there, volunteers coming and going, so I spent the time to make a box, added some brief guidelines, left a few letters in it, and there it is. Another Lightfoot box in operation.

You can too!

tools for survival

Howdy!
Since I had to change a wheel on Isolator with my multi-tool on my last stay, I got some leftover basic bike repair tools from my dad. Mostly good GDR quality ^^. I mean it, the "russian" stuff is much better than this modern junk. And it didn't cost money nor energy, yeh!
Anyway, I will bring them to Project Voluteering in the near future. It's not much stuff, let's check out lightfoot parcel service :)

Lightfoot in Italy

Making a Lightfoot Sustainable Post Box is easy. A cardboard box and a little creativity, put it in the right location, and it's almost done....

After that, it just needs letters.

Please write letters for the box! Imagine if the box is FULL of crazy artistic letters for all over the world - everyone will want to become a Lightfoot Deputy! Really, writing letters is equally important to delivering them.

So keep on writing! It's free and wonderful.

Write letters, connect communities.
Share your creativity, share your travels, share your space.
Protect our Earth!

Lightfoot at Rainbow

It wasn't raining, but the night was still cold and humid outside.
After the chants around the circle; after the celebration for our unity with the nature and our own soul; after having had the meal that 500 people cooked, serven and ate together, my friend and I repaired in the big white tee-pee.

It was late already and a silent, deep atmosphere welcomed us. In circle, people where talking about the future of the Rainbow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_gathering.

how difficult it is to keep in touch

I am not feeling that well meanwhile I am in mz last day of trip in Budapest.
So, taking advantage of the silente house of our host and of her laptop, I am starting collecting e/mails from Casapeople, so that I can keep in touch with all of you.
Surpraisingly, is way more difficult of what I tought. E/mails are somehow hidden, and even more impossible to find are physical adress.
Well, I know we are all sort of nomads with no stable house anywhere, but... How can I send you lightfoot letters if nobody nowadays uses physical adress anymore?

lightfoot to gent

paul got his post
it was my first mail delivery, my father was a postman for 35 years so maybe it runs in the family.
i got one ride from amsterdam to gent after getting to the road at around 9pm, a bit late but no problems, the 10 days off festival was going on in gent so many people were heading back and forth.
in gent with friends we started on the belgian beers, lekker!!!, and held cardboard above our heads to stay dry from the pooring rain well we were digging the scene of the festival. i think the rain seemed to keep the cities excitment down that night, but its only water.

the march of progress

Lightfoot mission in Milan: community and freedom

With some delay I am going to share the Lightfoot mission almost accomplished in Milan in March.

I have been traveling in a non-sustainable way to get to Milan, arriving at crazy night hours. The beautiful thing about beautiful friends is that they share their beautiful connection with you, so I was staying with Anna Giulia for one night: just the time to rest before going to Gorizia.

The next morning, opening the window gave me thrills: sun outside and the noise of a city I did not know yet and it was already full of positive vibes.
