Strasbourg visit

Music for today: Godspeed You! Black Emperor - The Dead Flag Blues
At the end of October I finally I made it to Strasbourg again. Hitchhiking was a breeze, two lifts (Berlin-Heidelberg-Strasbourg), maybe 13 minutes waiting
time in total.
I arrived just in time to finish reading "Über das Böse" (english: Some Questions of Moral Philosophy) while waiting for my ex-roomie Aurélien to pick me up, and off we went to a party somewhere in Alsace. The folks just finished pretty tough degrees in architecture and have no responsibilities besides a few additional university classes so they went real crazy (but somehow it's always that way with Aurélien :). We just pretended it wasn't a day early for Halloween and dressed up, removed the filling from a teddy bear to put it on our heads and walked around the village with a pitchfork and fireworks :)
Sunday was spent quietly and with amazing food fed to us by our host's parents and ended with a great movie back in Strasbourg. Overall I've got to speak a little French and pretty much enjoyed my French folk's disregard of civil life as well as the French civil lifestyle :)
I was already getting sick on Friday and partying obviously didn't help much. My return hitchhiking from hell (over Hamburg!) didn't fix things either, but it was totally worth it :)
