"I call commons that are tied to capitalist growth distorted commons, where capital has successfully subordinated non-monetary values to its primary goal of accumulation. " // “Massimo De Angelis explains why capital’s commons will always be distorted – because they are based upon social injustice – and why we can only reclaim the commons from capital by constructing common interests.”
Massimo hereby clearly delineates a radical conception of the commons, a split between commons that are immanent to the present system, and those that are transcendent towards it.

As is probably familiar to our readers, this differs from our own interpretation, which sees p2p dynamics and the commons as both immanent and transcendent, and that it is precisely because capitalism needs the commons, that it will strengthen the system that transcends it.
